To provide innovative, strategic, and sustainable solutions to current and future environmental challenges induced by climate change on the African continent through the use of earth observation and cutting-edge geospatial techniques.

Our Vision

To create a network of sustainability-driven individuals across Africa working to provide result-oriented solutions to climatic and environmental challenges across the continent. Through research, advocacy, and action, we aim to shape a greener, more sustainable future for Africa.

Our Approach

We seek to facilitate change by transforming knowledge into action through innovation and collaboration with stakeholders and policymakers across the world to produce useful and sustainable solutions to climate and environmental challenges in Africa. This includes:

Identification of hazards or challenges related to climate and the environment in our local communities and Africa at large.

Awareness and public engagement for the prevention, management and mitigation of these challenges

Provision of sustainable solutions in the form of maps, reports, charts and other means of geospatial solution dissemination which can be used for decision making and policy implementation

Collaboration and partnerships with Earth Sustainability-driven organizations, bodies or institutes

Our Focus

We align our efforts with key international frameworks to drive impactful change. Our work focuses on:

The Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (2015-2030): Specifically, the seventh global target, which aims to significantly increase public access to multi-hazard early warning systems and disaster risk information by 2030.

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: With a targeted approach to four key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we integrate sustainability into our research, advocacy, and action:

Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11): Making cities and human settlements inclusive, resilient, and sustainable.
Climate Action (SDG 13): Taking urgent action to combat climate change and its impact. Life Below Water (SDG 14): Conserving and sustainably using oceans, seas, and marine resources for sustainable development.
Life on Land (SDG 15): Protecting, restoring, and promoting the sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, managing forests sustainably, combating desertification, and halting biodiversity loss.
